Describe Previously Published Instances
OER are often derived from existing OER, and it is both a social norm and a legal obligation to provide attribution for work you built from.
Metadata Fields
The following fields will describe the original work yours was based on.
Date Issued
The date of publication for the original work. Use today’s date if the previous work was never published.
Publisher
The name of the press or other institution that published the original work.
Citation
The standard citation associated with the original work.
Identifiers
Include any DOI, ISBN, or other identifying numbers associated with the original work.
Series/Report No.
(Optional)
Alternative Location
URLs of other locations where the original content can be found.
